Grant Program
The kindness and generosity of Local Community Businesses and Civic Organizations has been the backbone of the Elmwood Park Athletic Hall of Fame. Because of this generosity, and to further our Commitment to assist and strengthen the athletic programs of Elmwood Park, as well as to foster and support Elmwood Park youth engaged in athletics, the Elmwood Park Athletic Hall of Fame Committee proudly began awarding annual financial grants in 1997.
Those grants helped fund numerous projects over the years for more than 10 different borough organizations, including the high school football, basketball, and baseball teams; girls softball; Bombers Football; Junior Baseball; Little League; and recreation soccer, basketball and wrestling.
The projects have included the purchase of new equipment, as well as funding to help defray the costs associated with league entrance fees, camps, and clinics. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our sponsors, who have annually purchased ads in the Dinner Journal, the Elmwood Park Athletic Hall of Fame has awarded grants totaling more than $25,000.00!
